Diaper changes are restricted to the changing stations in the locker rooms. Changing and disposing of diapers is strictly prohibited around the pool areas. Children who wear diapers must wear swim diapers or a plastic diaper cover. Proper use of floatation devices is allowed, but not as a substitute for direct supervision. This policy applies regardless of whether or not the child wears an approved floatation device. Children who cannot swim must be supervised by the parent/guardian in the pool within arm’s reach. We can’t think of anything better on a Texas summer night. Washing off the oppressive heat and stickiness. VOTE YES to benefit future Aggies and continue the tradition of bettering Texas A&M for its future generations.Dates: Wednesday, July 19 (In the event of inclement weather, the rain date will be Wednesday, July 26)Īddress: Texas A&M Rec Sports – 187 Corrington Dr., College Station, TX 77843ĭescription: Plunging into cool, refreshing water. If you are on the fixed rate plan and will be here till 2020 or later, you won’t be impacted. will be a student at A&M that IS NOT on the fixed rate tuition plan. This can potentially alleviate the business that the current Rec Center experiences.ĪND the fee increase won’t impact you unless you fall into the following criteria: This is the process that Texas A&M must go through to increase student fees. In 1987, the student body voted yes to build the Rec center we have now, which opened in 1995. Why Vote yes if I won’t be here in 2020?!īecause the current Rec Center we have went under the same prereqs. This is different from the previous Rec renovations because it’s easier to build a smaller building, than it is adding on to an already large building. The Rec Center by the golf course will be ready by fall 2021. If passed, the Rec center within Lot 50’s parking garage will be ready by fall 2020. Or alternately, you could let the legislature and board of regents decide, so that there's no student voice. So they're still the best people to decide. It seems to me that current students, even though they won't pay the costs or get the benefits, are at least the people with the best understanding of what it might be like to pay more costs and what it might be like to receive the benefits. If you think that one shouldn't pass costs on to people that aren't able to vote on it (and that one maybe shouldn't give them benefits either?) then there's no way to do anything and we should just close down the university. But anything else is going to involve giving benefits and costs to people that aren't participating in the vote. You could do a poll of all high school students in the state that might end up going to A&M. The problem with this reasoning is that any plan for something more than a year or two away is about costs and benefits mostly for people that aren't on campus yet.
